BREAKING: DSS Arrests Train Hostage Negotiator, Tukur Mamu, at Kano Airport
Tukur Mamu, a Nigerian publisher involved in the negotiation that led to the release of some of the hostages abducted by terrorists in the March 2022 attack on Abuja to Kaduna train was on Wednesday arrested by operatives of Department of State Services at Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.
He was arrested on arrival from Egypt.
Mamu was earlier arrested in Egypt, alongside his family member and was detained by Interpol at the Cairo International Airport, while awaiting a connecting flight to Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj.
He was later released and made to return home. No reason was given yet for his arrest.
