NBA Election 2022: Y.C. Maikyau, SAN Submits Nomination Form
The Abuja Chamber of Commerce premises of the Election Committee of the NBA (ECNBA) stood still yesterday, the 14th day of April, 2022, as Y.C. MAIKYAU, SAN stormed the venue to submit his Nomination/Interest Form amidst pomp and pageantry.
The Principal Partner of Y.C Maikyau & Co. and a contender for the office of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Y.C. Maikyau, SAN, FCIArb (U.K) submitted his Nomination Form and accompanying documents to the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) sealed.
Recall the ECNBA had earlier issued a notice inviting persons seeking to occupy Executive offices in the Nigerian Bar Association to pick up or download nomination forms, complete and submit same to the ECNBA on or before the scheduled deadline, being Friday, 15th April, 2022.
In compliance with the said directive, the very distinguished learned Senior Advocate of Nigeria submitted his nomination form on the 14th of April, 2022, within the prescribed period.
Accompanied by a retinue of his learned brother silks, and a coterie of well-wishers which included:

The learned Silk upon the submission of his nomination papers, was quoted with the following remarks while addressing his teeming supporters:
“Before I got to this point, I consulted with you and you gave me the go-ahead; and to show support that you are the ones who asked me to come here, you followed me to witness this event, and I hereby, by the special grace of God and to the glory of God Almighty, I have come to do what you have supported me to do and God Almighty will help us to do all the things He has empowered us to do.”
The above affirmation drew thundering applause amidst chants and cheers.
All aspirants to the NBA national offices are expected to submit their nomination forms and accompanying documents to the ECNBA no later than Friday, 15th April 2022.
